2 INSTALLATION

2 Installation

2.1 General

Altair RU should be installed in a place protected from humidity and extreme temperature differ-

ences (protected from direct sunlight).

2.2 GPS antenna

Mount the GPS antenna in a place with free sky view. An ideal place could be the glare protection.

2.3 Communication

Altair RU has an IGC RJ45-Interface. Data is sent in NMEA format NMEA-0813. The standard

conﬁguration is a connection with the Altair glide computer.
